(2014) Idée fixe means an idea that dominates one's mind especially for a prolonged period. It is also described as a delusional idea that dominates mental life during a prolonged period. Being prone to fleeting fixations, I put myself in this piece where an idea is anchored and chained through my ear and eye, connected to time, a key with no lock, and a burning ever-tentacled obsession du jour.
