(2018) "Frau Trude"  (20" x 20") is the 2nd piece in the German Fairytale Series inspired by yet another very dark cautionary tale for children.

This piece is inspired by a Grimm’s Fairy Tales story about a disobedient little girl who defies her parents and goes to see a witch named Frau Trude. Looking into the witch’s window the girl sees the devil and when questioned by Frau Trude, she tells Frau what she saw. Frau Trude says has seen her true form and turns the girl into a block of wood before tossing her into the fire.
