(2015) To expand my artistic boundaries, I devised a three-pronged art project: a 2D drawing, a 3D piece, and a video project. I spent 33 hours building a model longship that I named "Heidr" (meaning 'witch' in Old Norse) with the sole purpose of burning it in legendary Viking funeral fashion. Concurrently, I created the illustration and documented the collective process from conception through destruction, spending hours editing footage. The final video is set to music and has a dash of special effects for added surrealism.
Just as fire reduced Heidr to a husk of ash, the video below tells a month-long story of life and death in about 5 minutes.
